The ESB 5.6K3 CX is the 3-way passive crossover for the 5000 Series, built with polypropylene or Mylar dielectric capacitors and oversized non-inductive resistors, with level switches for the tweeter and midrange. The 5000 Series ("Elegance and Technology") was built for fast transient response and realistic impact. ESB's goal was to cut moving mass, making the moving parts of each speaker lighter and quicker.
